Europe has a mission. Its goal? To eliminate emissions from road transport by 2050. In fact, all EU Member States have already agreed to reduce total greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.
It is easy to understand why: since then,CO2 emissions from transport in Europe have increased by 29%. This means that vehicle exhaust systems are responsible for about a quarter of total European emissions, making the transport sector the second largest source of pollution after the energy sector.
